Job Responsibilities

- Design Electrical system and its electrical/ electronic systems Layout and packaging of parts in vehicle DMU considering all aspects of functionality and manufacturability/ serviceability.
- Define electrical system diagram for a given project considering all regulatory/Homologation requirements.
- Getting requisite inputs to horizontal teams for design of electrical parts as per product brief,
- Interaction with concerned plant and handle manufacturing issues, interact with service teams for field related issues and co-ordinate within R&D;, for issue analysis and it’s resolution and implementation.
- Co-ordinate in testing activities, preparation for senior level meetings.

Competency Requirements

Technical/ Functional:-

- Proficient in Electrical system
- Knowledge of vehicle powertrain and the interfaces arising out of electrification.
- Knowledge about automotive industry standards and regulations, applicable globally.




- Knowledge of vehicle harness design,
- Good understanding of all applicable standards/ regulations and their application
- Experience in design and development of electrical components for automotive application -, Starter motor ,Magneto , Alternators , wiper motors & Wiping systems ,-Radiator fan ,switches , solenoids , sender units , ECU based systems , Fuel injection system ,Fuel pump module , Instrument cluster, wiring harness for 2 / 3 / 4 Wheeler projects
- Preparation master part list
- Design review and interface design checks
- Design optimization for cost control of component
- Proto type development
- Plan for testing of components as per project schedule
- Bench marking , warranty analysis , VA/ VE
- Comply with Homologation requirements of components
- DFMEA , PFMEA

Desirable: -

Soft Skill set:-

- Auto CAD: 2-D drawing
- 3-D – Uni-Graphics modelling UG-NX7.5-Basic level
- PLM –Team center Engineering
- Knowledge of simulation software.

Behavioral:-

- Effective communication with team, peers and seniors
- Candidate should be able to work in a agile and challenging environment with deliveries on schedule.
- Good Interdepartmental co-ordination required.
- Should understand situations in depth, analyze and resolve issues.
