Key Responsibilities Provide L1/L2 support for Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers. Monitor and maintain the DB2 workplace in non-production environments. Perform routine Linux administration activities, including user management, file system management, and service monitoring. Execute Linux patching and system updates as per the maintenance schedule. Support scheduler jobs and troubleshoot job failures. Participate in Disaster Recovery (DR) activities and DR drills. Monitor system health, logs, and server performance. Work closely with application, database, and infrastructure teams for issue resolution. Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures. Ensure adherence to BFSI security and compliance standards.
Required Technical Skills Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) Administration Linux Shell Scripting (Basic) IBM DB2 Workplace Support Linux Patching and System Maintenance Scheduler Tools (Control-M, Cron, Autosys, or equivalent) Disaster Recovery (DR) Activities Kafka Administration (Basic to Intermediate) System Monitoring and Log Analysis User & Permission Management Basic Networking Concepts Good to Have Experience in the BFSI domain. Knowledge of ITIL processes. Experience with automation using Shell Scripting or Ansible. Exposure to monitoring tools such as Zabbix, Nagios, or Site24x7. Preferred Skills Robust troubleshooting and analytical skills. Good communication and documentation skills. Ability to work in a rotational shift environment. Team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving. Red Hat Certification (RHCSA/RHCE) is an added advantage.
