Job Summary

P.K. Dutta & Co. is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated AutoCAD Draughtsman / Civil Operator to join our team. This role bridges the gap between field engineering and technical documentation. You will be responsible for converting field survey observations, structural requirements, and raw data into highly accurate 2D/3D civil layouts and transmission line route plans using AutoCAD software.

Because this role heavily supports our surveying department, the ideal candidate must be open to occasional field alignment and collaborating directly with the site team.

Key Responsibilities

- Drafting & Design: Prepare detailed 2D civil engineering drawings, transmission line layouts, profiles, and structural layouts using AutoCAD.
- Field Survey Support: Assist senior surveyors with plotting raw data collected during transmission line route surveys and site inspections.
- Data Integration: Read, interpret, and process field measurement data, structural sketches, and coordinates into clean, accurate digital maps.
- Revisions & Maintenance: Modify and update existing drawings promptly based on project adjustments, changing site conditions, or engineering feedback.
- Quality & Compliance:



Review all drafts to ensure they strictly meet structural engineering standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.
- Documentation: Keep the internal drawing server and project files highly organized by maintaining sequential version controls (revision history).

Requirements & Qualifications

- Education: ITI, Diploma in Civil/Mechanical Engineering, or Graduation in a related technical discipline.
- Technical Skills: High proficiency in AutoCAD 2D (Knowledge of 3D modeling, QGIS, or ArcGIS is a distinct advantage).
- Experience: 0 to 2 years (Freshers with solid practical AutoCAD training during their course are highly encouraged to apply).
- Industry Knowledge: Basic understanding of land surveying, coordinates, and civil infrastructure concepts.
- Field-Ready Mindset: A positive attitude toward occasional field visits to gather ground data or cross-verify technical drawings alongside the survey crew.
- Soft Skills: Meticulous attention to detail, a sharp learning curve, and clear verbal communication skills.
