A senior interior designer will be responsible for developing, managing, and recording technical aspects of the project.
Work closely with the project manager, design coordinators, and project teams on conceptual designs, presentations, design development, and production. Senior interior designers will be responsible for project deliverables, meeting overall project design schedules, as well as preparing and presenting design presentations. They must inform the project manager of any problems and attend meetings with the project managers.
Must have robust organizational and communication skills. They must be able to work with coordinators, fabricators, and regulatory agencies to meet overall project goals.
Senior interior designers also must be able to create graphic presentations, 3D renderings, and construction drawings. They must possess great verbal and nonverbal skills and be able to apply them in different situations.
Most companies want you to possess a bachelor’s degree in architecture or design. Some companies allow candidates to substitute education with work experience. Proficiency in programs such as 2D/3D software, AutoCAD, 3D Studio Max.
