MDM L1 Support Executive (SAP HANA/MDG)

Role Summary

Responsible for first-level support of Master Data Management activities, ensuring timely creation, maintenance, and governance of customer, vendor, material, and other master data within SAP HANA/MDG environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Process master data creation, modification, extension, and deactivation requests.
- Validate data requests against established governance standards and SOPs.
- Provide L1 support for master data-related issues and service requests.
- Monitor and manage ticket queues within agreed SLAs.
- Perform data quality checks to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Identify and prevent duplicate master records.
- Escalate complex issues to L2/L3 support teams when required.
- Support master data workflows and approval processes.
- Generate periodic reports on SLA compliance, data quality, and backlog status.
- Maintain documentation, SOPs, and knowledge repositories.




- Assist business users with master data queries and process guidance.
- Support internal and external audit requirements related to master data governance.

Desired Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Computer Applications, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in SAP Master Data Management, SAP MDG, or SAP HANA support.
- Knowledge of Material Master, Vendor Master, Customer Master, and Finance Master Data.
- Familiarity with ticketing tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, or SAP Solution Manager.
- Understanding of data governance and data quality concepts.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
- Valuable analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in shared services, manufacturing, or engineering industries preferred.
- SAP MDG or SAP Master Data certification preferred.
