Educate Girls is an award-winning non-profit working to ensure that every girl in India’s rural and educationally marginalised communities has access to quality education. In 2025, Educate Girls became the first Indian organisation to receive the Ramon Magsaysay Award, Asia’s highest honour.

Since 2007, we have partnered with state governments and local communities to identify out-of-school girls, support their enrolment and retention, and strengthen foundational learning for all children. Our second-chance program also helps adolescent girls and young women complete their Grade 10 and 12 education while building life skills and agency.

With a network of more than 55,000 community volunteers, Educate Girls has enrolled over 20 lakhs girls and improved learning outcomes for over 24 lakhs children across 30,000 villages in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar.

Our Vision for 2035

By 2035, Educate Girls aims to transform the lives of 10 million learners through three flagship pathways:

1. Vidya – Back-to-School Program- Vidya identifies out-of-school girls (ages 6–14), supports their enrolment and retention in government schools, and strengthens foundational literacy, numeracy, and essential life skills for all children in Grades 3–5.

2. Pragati – Second-Chance Education Program- Pragati is India’s largest second-chance learning initiative for adolescent girls and young women (ages 15–29) who have dropped out due to societal and systemic barriers. Through village-based learning camps, it builds academic competencies, life skills, and agency, enabling learners to complete their Grade 10 certification through State Open Schools.

3. Technical Assistance Units (TAUs) with Governments- In collaboration with 12 state governments, Educate Girls is strengthening open schooling systems to enhance access, quality, and governance. These TAUs play a pivotal role in ensuring that Pragati learners—and many others—can re-enter and thrive within formal education pathways.

Job Profile

Scope and Overview of the role

The Program Associate is a critical part of the program team in the district and is directly responsible for implementation of the programmatic training as well as activities in the districts. The incumbent, while being responsible for quality implementation of activity & the content delivery, is also responsible for Capacity building to the Partner team members and other stakeholders as needed. The position involves intense travel in operational areas especially in Districts, blocks and villages.

Key Responsibilities

· Training management (Offline / online/web based)

· Training and quality related data management

· Managing training records and reporting

· Liaise with Operation/Impact/program/IT/other stakeholders

· Flexible to travel across different districts as required for training, monitoring, and program support

· Should be capable of conducting D2D Survey Spot Check and Cross Verification, Enrolment Cross Verification, and GKP CRO in the field, identifying gaps in the process, and providing appropriate guidance and direction to partner staff for improvement.

· Field visit in the partner districts/blocks/village up to 60-70% in a month.

Technical Responsibility

· Assist the Training Officer in creating an annual training plan and bifurcate the annual plan quarterly and monthly, amendments as necessary

· Implement of annual training plan on monthly basis in their allocated area.

· Create the digital training module of program on web

· Conduct trainings Offline/Offline

· Training follow up of staff

· Certification of training program

· Monitor the implementation of annual training plan on monthly basis

· Program Associates should be capable of extracting and analysing data related to D2D Survey, Enrolment, GKP and Retention activities.

· Should be capable of conducting D2D Survey Spot Checks and Cross Verifications, Enrolment Cross Verifications, and GKP CRO in the field, identifying gaps in the process, and providing appropriate guidance and direction to partner staff for improvement.





· Monitors program implementation progress and gives input where necessary based on quality improvement

· Conduct field level visits to monitor program quality using the observation formats.

· Problem Solving and providing support wherever required

· Conduct field visit, training Visit according the training plan and provide qualitative input

· Support the Partner team in program delivery and guide them where needed.

· Participate in Educate Girls & Maitri Partner level meetings and support them

· Weekly/monthly reporting

Desired Incumbent Profile

Personality: Self-driven, result-oriented with a positive outlook and a clear focus on high quality output. Excellent conceptual and analytical skills. Demonstrable ability to think strategically, innovatively and practically to ensure achievement of desired change objectives. Proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability. Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail. Very strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with multiple stakeholders. Empathic communicator, ability to see things from the other person's point of view. Ability to get along with variety of individuals and a team-player Sufficiently mobile and versatile to manage intense travel in operational areas especially in blocks and villages which could amount to 60-70% of the time based on programmatic need.

Work Life Balance: Must be mature and domestically secure. Able to manage travel without upsetting domestic situation. Able to work extended hours on occasions when required.

Preferred Education Background:

● Graduate in Economics, Statistics, Social Science or related subject, Diploma/certification in Computers

● Fluent in Hindi and local dialect and basic knowledge of English

Preferred Work Experience:

● Minimum 2-3 years of experience in relevant field

Preferred Skill Set:

● Sound contextual knowledge of local issues, organizational relationships, social and cultural constraints and realities, and environmental conditions, Right to Education, Child Psychology, and Community Motivation

● Ability to manage data and data analysis skills, software proficiency or software application/web/android web friendly.

● Able to run data management tool or modules or software

● Demonstrated ability to cultivate relationships, collaborate with individuals in a culturally diverse setting and build consensus;
