Key Responsibilities
Production Planning & Execution
Execute daily production plans as per the manufacturing schedule.
Ensure production targets are achieved within planned timelines.
Monitor production efficiency and minimize downtime.
Coordinate with Planning, Stores, Purchase, Quality, and Maintenance departments.
Ensure uninterrupted production flow.
Shop Floor SupervisionSupervise operators, technicians, and assembly personnel.
Allocate manpower based on production priorities.
Monitor attendance, shift discipline, and productivity.
Conduct daily production meetings and shift handovers.
Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Quality ManagementEnsure production complies with quality standards and work instructions.
Reduce rework, rejection, and process deviations.
Coordinate with QA/QC for inspections and corrective actions.
Support root cause analysis using 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, and CAPA methodologies.
Safety & ComplianceEnsure strict adherence to EHS policies and PPE compliance.
Promote secure work practices.
Report and investigate safety incidents.
Maintain housekeeping as per 5S standards.
Process ImprovementDrive Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
Identify process bottlenecks and implement improvements.
Improve productivity through Kaizen activities.




Support automation and digital manufacturing initiatives.
Inventory & Material ControlMonitor material availability for uninterrupted production.
Minimize material wastage.
Coordinate with Stores for inventory movement.
Ensure proper handling of finished goods.
Machine & EquipmentEnsure optimum machine utilization.
Coordinate preventive maintenance activities.
Report equipment breakdowns immediately.
Monitor Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
DocumentationMaintain production records.
Update daily production reports.
Record downtime, rejection, rework, and productivity data.
Ensure ERP/production system updates are accurate.
Team DevelopmentTrain current operators.
Evaluate operator performance.
Improve multi-skilling within the production team.
Build a culture of accountability and continuous learning.
