Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Conversion: Convert approved interior design drawings and 3D models into detailed, error-free production cutlists for modular furniture.
Material Optimization: Utilize nesting and optimization software to maximize panel yield (plywood, MDF, particle board) and minimize material wastage.
BOM Generation: Create comprehensive Bills of Materials (BOM) detailing exact hardware requirements (hinges, runners, channels), edge-banding lengths, and accessories.
Design Verification: Review designer drawings for manufacturing feasibility, checking for correct tolerances, construction logic, and hardware compatibility before production.
CNC & Machine Integration: Prepare and export data files compatible with CNC routers, beam saws, and edge-banding machinery.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the design team to resolve discrepancies and collaborate with the factory production team to troubleshoot any assembly issues.
Standardization: Assist in maintaining and updating the company’s modular library, construction standards,



and hardware databases.
Required Skills & QualificationsExperience: 2–5 years of hands-on experience as a Cutlist Specialist, Production Engineer, or Technical Designer in the modular furniture or modular kitchen industry.
Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in industry-standard software such as IMOS, Cabinet Vision, WoodWOP, SketchUp (with cutlist plugins), AutoCAD, or proprietary ERP/optimization software (like MaxCut or Cutting Optimization Pro).
Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of modular furniture construction techniques, panel processing, hardware mechanisms (Blum, Hettich, Hafele, etc.), and edge-banding practices.
Mathematical Aptitude: Robust spatial reasoning and mathematical skills to calculate exact deductions, grain directions, and tolerances.
Attention to Detail: An eagle eye for detail; a misplaced millimeter can ruin an entire production batch, so accuracy is non-negotiable.
