Job Title: Civil Quality Control (QC) Engineer

Department: Quality Assurance & Quality Control (QA/QC)

Reports To: QA/QC Manager / Project Manager

Location: Bhubaneswar

Job Summary

The Civil QC Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all civil construction activities are executed according to approved drawings, project specifications, contract requirements, quality standards, and applicable codes. The role includes inspections, quality documentation, testing coordination, and ensuring compliance with the Quality Management System (QMS).

Key Responsibilities

Quality Inspection & Control

Verify work execution as per approved drawings, specifications, and method statements.

Material Inspection

Inspect incoming construction materials.

Verify material approvals, test certificates, and compliance with project specifications.

Coordinate laboratory testing for cement, steel, aggregates, concrete, bricks, blocks, sand, and other materials.

Reject non-conforming materials and report deviations.

Ensure all quality





Site Coordination

Coordinate with site engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and clients.

Attend quality meetings and inspections.

Ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented for quality issues.

Monitor compliance with approved work procedures.

Non-Conformance Management

Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) when required.

Monitor corrective actions until closure.

Identify root causes of recurring quality issues.

Recommend process improvements.

Ensure compliance with:

Project specifications

Approved drawings

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering.

3–8 years of experience in building, infrastructure, highway, industrial, or commercial construction projects.

Preferred Experience

Residential and commercial building projects.

High-rise construction.

Infrastructure projects.
