Job Summary:
A Veterinary Pathologist is responsible for diagnosing diseases in domestic, farm, zoo, and wildlife animals through laboratory testing and microscopic examination of tissues and body fluids. They perform necropsies (animal autopsies), interpret laboratory findings, and provide diagnostic reports to assist veterinarians in treatment and disease prevention.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform necropsies to determine the cause of illness or death in animals.
- Examine tissue samples, blood, urine, and other body fluids using laboratory techniques.
- Diagnose infectious, parasitic, metabolic, genetic, and neoplastic (cancerous) diseases.
- Prepare and interpret histopathology, cytology, hematology, and microbiology reports.
- Collaborate with veterinarians to recommend treatment, disease control, and prevention strategies.
- Monitor and investigate disease outbreaks in livestock, companion animals, and wildlife.
- Ensure laboratory quality assurance, biosafety, and compliance with regulatory standards.




- Maintain accurate medical records and laboratory documentation.
- Participate in research, teaching, and continuing career development when applicable.

Required Qualifications

- M.V.Sc. in Veterinary Science & Pathology or Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc)
- Specialized training or residency in veterinary pathology.
- Board certification or postgraduate qualification in veterinary pathology is preferred.
- Valid veterinary license where required.

- Knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and disease processes.
- Proficiency in laboratory techniques and microscopy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Attention to detail and critical thinking.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
