Job Role & Responsibilities

Role: Connectivity solutions hardware

Technical/ Functional:

- Design and develop connectivity and user-interface platforms for electric vehicles, including Telematics Units, Instrument Clusters, Access Control Systems, and Infotainment hardware.
- Integrate wireless communication technologies such as 4G/5G/LTE/NB-IoT, GNSS, BLE, and Wi-Fi, along with display and backlight modules.
- Develop the complete RF signal chain including RF front-end, antenna design, matching networks, filters, and protection circuits.
- Design the power management architecture using DC-DC converters, LDOs, sequencing, and automotive-grade transient/surge protection; integrate secure elements, SIM/eSIM, memory, and vehicle sensors (Radar, Ultrasonic, IMU, etc.).
- Implement and validate digital communication interfaces including UART, SPI, I2C, USB, CAN, and Ethernet.
- Create detailed system architectures, block diagrams, schematics, BOM, and all supporting design documentation.
- Plan and execute PCB layout and mechanical packaging, ensuring electrical performance, EMI/EMC compliance, thermal reliability, and serviceability.
- Develop signal conditioning,



filtering, and EMI/EMC-robust PCB designs meeting automotive safety and regulatory standards.
- Perform circuit simulations (worst-case analysis, Monte Carlo), component selection, derating analysis
- Conduct hardware bring-up, debugging, failure analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Collaborate with firmware teams for hardware–software integration and system-level performance optimization.
- Coordinate with suppliers for prototype builds and production readiness.
- Evaluate opportunities for functional consolidation into single ECUs to achieve cost, packaging, and manufacturing efficiencies.
- Drive improvements in design efficiency, manufacturability, and yield.

Specific expertise required for functional areas:

- Knowledge of electric vehicle standards and regulations, including ISO 26262 (Functional Safety), CISPR/ISO (EMC), ISO 7637, and AIS standards.
- Familiarity with the automotive product development lifecycle
- Solid understanding of DFSS (Design for Six Sigma) methodology.
- Strong fundamentals in analog, digital, and mixed-signal electronics.
- Proficiency in schematic design, circuit analysis, and simulations.
- Hands-on experience with PCB layout reviews, SI/PI considerations for automotive hardware.
- Experience in designing hardware for automotive-grade performance, reliability, optimization, and cost efficiency.
- Hands-on experience with LTE/4G/5G/NB-IoT modems, GNSS receivers, BLE, and Wi-Fi SoCs.
- Strong understanding of RF fundamentals including antenna design, impedance matching, return loss, VSWR, filter design, and sensitivity optimization.
- Ability to perform RF validation and troubleshoot wireless performance issues.
- Familiarity with vehicle communication protocols: CAN, LIN, UART, SPI, I2C, and related debugging/analysis tools.
- Experience building low-noise analog front ends, sensor interfaces, and signal-conditioning circuits.
- Proficient in using laboratory test equipment: Oscilloscope, DMM, LCR meter, Network Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer, Power Analyzer, and related diagnostic tools.
