Associate Project Manager
Overview
The Associate Project Manager is responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, execution, and delivery of offshore Oil & Gas projects, with a solid focus on FPSO (Floating Production Storage and Offloading) facilities. Working under general supervision, the role ensures projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with client requirements, company procedures, and industry standards. The position serves as a key interface between clients, engineering disciplines, procurement teams, fabrication contractors, and project stakeholders to achieve successful project outcomes.Skills are typically acquired through completion of an undergraduate degree in Engineering and a minimum of 10 years related experience, with average experience of 15-20 years.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, coordinate and monitor project activities in alignment with approved project procedures, standards and client requirements.
- Act as a primary point of contact for clients on day-to-day project matters,
ensuring effective communication and high levels of client satisfaction.
- Support project execution throughout the lifecycle, including engineering, procurement, fabrication, commissioning and delivery phases.
- Coordinate and manage internal and external project interfaces across multidisciplinary teams.
- Supervise project personnel through subordinate team leaders and ensure effective allocation of resources.
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, deliverables and performance metrics to ensure successful project execution.
- Identify, escalate, and facilitate resolution of project issues that may impact cost, schedule, quality or safety.
- Support the Management of Change (MOC) process by assessing impacts, maintaining documentation and coordinating approvals.
