Job Summary

The Food & Beverage Lecturer is responsible for delivering high-quality theoretical and practical instruction in Food & Beverage Service, ensuring students develop the knowledge, technical skills, professional attitude, and industry competencies required for successful careers in the hospitality industry. The lecturer will create an engaging learning environment, assess student performance, and maintain industry standards in both classroom and practical training sessions.

Key ResponsibilitiesTheory Teaching

- Deliver lectures on Food & Beverage Service, Restaurant Operations, Beverage Studies, Wines & Spirits, Bar Operations, Menu Planning, Cost Control, Customer Service, and Hospitality Standards.
- Prepare lesson plans, presentations, teaching materials, and learning resources.
- Conduct classroom discussions, assignments, quizzes, and examinations.
- Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Keep course content updated with current hospitality industry trends and best practices.
- Mentor students in academic and career development.

Practical Training

- Conduct hands-on practical sessions in restaurant service, banquet service, buffet setup, fine dining service, bar operations (where permitted), beverage preparation, table setting, gueridon service, and customer interaction.
- Demonstrate standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure students practice according to industry standards.
- Supervise practical assessments and maintain records of student competencies.
- Ensure proper use, maintenance, and inventory of training equipment, cutlery, crockery, glassware, and service tools.
- Maintain hygiene, sanitation, and workplace safety standards during practical sessions.

Student Development

- Guide students in communication skills, grooming, professional etiquette, and workplace behavior.
- Prepare students for internships, industrial training, competitions, and campus placements.




- Conduct mock interviews, role plays, and customer service simulations.
- Monitor student attendance, discipline, and academic progress.

Academic Responsibilities

- Develop curriculum, lesson plans, and practical manuals aligned with institutional and industry requirements.
- Prepare question papers, evaluation rubrics, and grading reports.
- Participate in faculty meetings, accreditation processes, and academic audits.
- Assist in organizing workshops, guest lectures, hospitality events, and industry visits.
- Maintain academic records and submit reports within prescribed timelines.

Industry Engagement

- Build relationships with hotels, restaurants, and hospitality organizations.
- Coordinate internships, industrial visits, and guest sessions.
- Stay updated with hospitality trends through continuous professional development.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum 3–5 years of industry experience in Food & Beverage Service within reputable hotels or restaurants.
- Prior teaching or training experience is desirable.
- Relevant hospitality certifications are an added advantage.

- Strong knowledge of Food & Beverage operations and service standards.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and classroom management skills.
- Practical expertise in restaurant, banquet, and beverage service.
- Ability to mentor and motivate students.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Commitment to maintaining qualified ethics and hospitality standards.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
