About Us

Shivaalaya School of Dance is a classical arts studio based in JP Nagar 7th Phase, Bangalore. Beyond Bharatanatyam, we are expanding our offerings to include wellness and movement practices, and we are looking for the right person to bring yoga to our community of students .

We are looking for a certified, passionate Yoga instructor to conduct classes at our studio on a part-time basis. This is a flexible arrangement — ideal for an instructor who already teaches independently and is looking for a dedicated, well-equipped space and a ready community to grow their batches within.

Your earnings will be directly linked to the batches you build and run. As your student strength grows, so does your income — there is no ceiling on what you can earn from this engagement.

What You Will Do

- Plan and conduct yoga sessions for beginners, intermediate, and open-level students
- Build and manage your own student batches within the studio's scheduling framework
- Coordinate class timings with the studio to ensure smooth scheduling alongside existing programmes
- Maintain a welcoming, safe, and encouraging class environment
- Communicate with students on attendance, progress, and upcoming sessions

What We Are Looking For

- Valid yoga certification from a recognised institution — RYT 200 or above preferred (Yoga Alliance, Kaivalyadhama, Iyengar, or equivalent)




- Minimum 1 year of teaching experience — independent or institutional
- Ability to teach across formats: Hatha, Vinyasa, or restorative — at least one style with confidence
- Good communication skills in English and/or Kannada — Hindi an advantage
- Punctual, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently
- Residents or those located within South Bangalore preferred — easy commute matters for consistency

Engagement Details

- Type: Part-time, flexible
- Location: Shivaalaya School of Dance, 4th Floor, Sai Arcade, RBI Layout, JP Nagar 7th Phase, Bangalore
- Schedule: Morning and/or evening slots available — mutually agreed
- Compensation: Performance-linked — based on batch size and sessions conducted. Details can be discussed
