Job Summary:
We are hiring a Cylindrical Grinding Operator for pump manufacturing, responsible for precision grinding of pump components such as shafts, sleeves, and rotors as per technical drawings and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate cylindrical grinding machines for pump parts.
- Perform grinding of shafts, impellers, sleeves, and motor components.
- Maintain required tolerances, concentricity, and surface finish.
- Read and understand engineering drawings and process sheets.
- Use measuring instruments like micrometer, vernier caliper, dial gauge.
- Ensure quality as per ISO / industry standards.
- Conduct machine setup, dressing of grinding wheels, and basic maintenance.
- Follow 5S and safety practices on the shop floor.
Skills & Requirements:
- ITI (Fitter/Turner/Machinist) or Diploma in Mechanical.
- 2–6 years of experience in grinding (pump or engineering industry preferred).
- Good knowledge of tolerances, fits, and surface finish.
- Ability to handle precision components.
Preferred:
- Experience in pump manufacturing industry.
- Knowledge of CNC grinding (added advantage).
- Familiarity with ISO standards & quality systems.
Working Conditions:
- Manufacturing / shop floor workplace
- Shift duty (if applicable)
