As the Officer in Charge – Innovation Cell, you will be responsible for building, scaling, and operating CHAKRA’s healthcare innovation ecosystem. You will drive partnerships, support MedTech/HealthTech start-ups from concept to commercialization, and embed an entrepreneurial mindset across medical and health sciences institutions in Maharashtra.

Key Responsibilities

- Ecosystem & Partnerships: Develop and manage strategic collaborations with hospitals, industry leaders, venture capitalists, regulatory bodies, and research organisations.
- Global Representation: Represent CHAKRA at national and international forums to attract investment, start-ups, and innovation partnerships.
- Product & Clinical Validation: Work closely with the Clinical Trials Unit to guide start-ups through clinical validation, proof-of-concept testing, and regulatory pathways.
- Programs & Mentorship: Build and run structured mentorship, incubator, and accelerator programs for clinician-innovators, researchers, and founders.
- Campus Entrepreneurship:



Lead initiatives across affiliated health sciences colleges in Maharashtra to cultivate student and faculty-led clinical innovation.

Required Qualifications & ExperienceEducation (Mandatory)

- Bachelor’s degree in any Health Sciences discipline OR Biotechnology is a must.
- MBA is highly preferred.
- Preference will be given to candidates who are "Doc-preneurs" (clinicians with entrepreneurial experience).

Experience

- 10+ years of overall experience is mandatory.
- Must have a proven track record of working in or leading a HealthTech, MedTech, Biotech, or Digital Health start-up.

Skills & Knowledge

- Technical Domain: Solid understanding of emerging technologies (AI/ML, IoT, AR/VR, simulation tools) and medical device development pathways.
- Stakeholder Management: Exceptional capability to collaborate with senior stakeholders, investors, academic heads, and government officials.
- Project Management: Top-tier project execution, communication, and public representation skills.
