Overview

The IIIT Delhi Space Technology Centre is recruiting Simulation Specialists (RA-I / Senior Project
Associate) to contribute to the development of an advanced astrodynamics and Space Situational
Awareness software suite. This role focuses heavily on scenario building, validation, and
performance verification of trajectory tracking and estimation algorithms.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and execute complex, realistic simulation scenarios for astrodynamics and space

situational awareness applications.
- Conduct comprehensive validation and performance verification of physics-based software

systems and associated tracking algorithms.
- Analyze simulation results and prepare detailed technical documentation and performance

reports.
- Travel Requirement: Frequent travel is required for this position. Please note that up to 6

months of the 12-month appointment duration will be based in Bangalore.

Qualifications & Skills

- Minimum Educational Qualification (as per DST guidelines):

For Research Associate-I (RA-I): Ph.D degree in Aerospace Engineering or in alied

areas or having 3 years of research, teaching and design and development
experience after M.Tech Aerospace Engineering or in alied areas with at least one
research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI)



journal.

- For Senior Project Associate: M.Tech Aerospace Engineering or in alied areas or

bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering or in alied areas from a recognized
University or equivalent AND Four years' experience in Research and Development
in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organisations and
Scientific activities and services.

- Solid background and hands-on experience in orbital mechanics simulations and

astrodynamics.
- Proven ability in the validation and verification of complex numerical and physics-based

software systems.
- Excellent technical writing and documentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a research team and coordinate with external stakeholders

during deployments.

Compensation

- Research Associate-I (RA-I): ₹58,000 per month + HRA.
- Senior Project Associate: ₹57,000 per month + HRA.
