Job Description

We are seeking an experienced BIOS/UEFI Firmware Developer with strong expertise in x86 BIOS/UEFI development, platform bring-up, and Intel FSP-based firmware development. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in BIOS customization, mainboard porting, and firmware development for x86 platforms, along with a deep understanding of BIOS boot flow and system architecture.

Key Responsibilities

- Contribute to the development and enhancement of x86 BIOS/UEFI firmware, ensuring compatibility with compilation tools.
- Lead platform bring-up activities and perform mainboard porting using the Intel FSP codebase.
- Manage FSP build tools and build processes, ensuring seamless firmware integration.
- Port UEFI code to the Intel FSP framework to improve system functionality and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, customize, and maintain BIOS features.
- Utilize Git for source code management, code reviews, and BIOS release management.
- Support QA and validation teams by delivering reliable BIOS releases.
- Handle multiple firmware development tasks and support custom BIOS requirements across teams.
- Troubleshoot and resolve BIOS-related issues throughout the product development lifecycle.

Mandatory Skills

- 8+ years of experience in x86 BIOS/UEFI firmware development.
- Strong experience with x86 CPU/APU architectures and associated compilation tools.




- Expert-level programming skills in C.
- Hands-on experience with platform bring-up.
- Experience working with at least one BIOS codebase:
- AMI BIOS
- Insyde BIOS
- Phoenix BIOS
- Experience with open-source mainboard porting.
- Solid experience with the Intel FSP codebase, including:
- FSP Boot Flow
- FSP Build Tools
- FSP Build Processes
- Understanding of Linux boot process.

Nice-to-Have Skills

- Experience using Git for source code management, code reviews, and BIOS release processes.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and support different teams with custom BIOS requirements.
- Positive understanding of industry-standard interfaces and protocols such as:
- PCIe
- SPI
- eSPI
- Familiarity with BIOS-related specifications:
- ACPI
- SMM
- Good understanding of x86-64 architecture from a BIOS developer's perspective.
- Strong knowledge of UEFI BIOS Boot Flow.
- Basic understanding of Linux kernel development concepts, including Kconfig.

Educational Qualification

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a related field.
