Job Description OEM Buyer (Direct Procurement)

Position: OEM Buyer – Direct Procurement
Experience: 1-3 Years
Location: Sriperumbudur, Chennai
Industry: Manufacturing / Automotive

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage procurement of direct materials and components for manufacturing operations.
- Coordinate with OEMs and Tier 1/Tier 2 suppliers for sourcing and procurement activities.
- Float RFQs, compare quotations, negotiate prices, and finalize orders.
- Ensure timely material availability to support production requirements.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor supplier performance in terms of quality, cost, and delivery.
- Track purchase orders, follow up on deliveries, and resolve supply-related issues.




- Support cost reduction and localization initiatives.

Desired Candidate Profile:

- 1-3 years of experience in Direct Procurement or OEM Buying.
- Experience working with Tier 1 or Tier 2 suppliers is mandatory.
- Exposure to the automotive or manufacturing industry is preferred.
- Good understanding of sourcing, supplier management, and procurement processes.
- Proficient in MS Excel and ERP systems such as SAP.
- Solid communication and negotiation skills.

Qualification:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
- Candidates willing to work from Sriperumbudur, Chennai are preferred.
