Role & responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end plant stores operations including inventory control, receipt (GRN), storage, issue, and periodic physical verification.
- Monitor and supervise daily stores activities, ensuring uninterrupted material availability for plant operations.
- Own inventory governance including ROL monitoring, stock accuracy, slow-moving & obsolete inventory management, and perpetual inventory.
- Maintain proper storage of materials and ensure systematic development and upkeep of the stores yard.
- Coordinate with user departments, Purchase, Finance, Quality, and HO teams for material planning, procurement, and issue resolution.
- Review and publish MIS reports related to inventory, fuel, PP bags, consumption, insurance, and other commercial activities.
- Act as SAP lead user for Stores & Procurement, including PR/PO processing, release strategies, stock transfers (STO), and resolution of SAP-related issues.
- Drive procurement coordination for critical materials to avoid stock-outs and support uninterrupted plant operations.




- Manage inward and outward logistics, transporter coordination, and inter-unit material movement.
- Lead scrap management activities including identification, approvals, auction process, SAP execution, and statutory compliance.
- Ensure 5S implementation, housekeeping, safety, and compliance across stores, warehouse, and yard.
- Coordinate import material clearance, freight documentation, customs-related activities, and secure material storage.
- Ensure compliance with Legal Metrology requirements and timely calibration/certification of weighing equipment.
- Supervise and develop the stores team, ensuring effective manpower deployment and operational efficiency.
- Process logistics, transport, and service-related bills in coordination with Finance.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, cost optimization, audit compliance, and adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
