Job Description Security Supervisor(Third Party Role)
Job Purpose
The Security Supervisor will be responsible for supervising day-to-day security operations, maintaining discipline, ensuring vigilance, and safeguarding the company's personnel, assets, and infrastructure. The incumbent will ensure strict implementation of security procedures, monitor compliance with plant security protocols, and lead the deployed security guards to maintain a safe and secure working workplace.
The role requires a disciplined and proactive professional with an Ex-Defence background, strong supervisory skills, and good English communication.
Key Responsibilities
Security Operations
- Supervise day-to-day security activities across the manufacturing plant, warehouses, utility areas, offices, and other company premises.
- Ensure effective deployment and monitoring of security guards across all shifts.
- Monitor entry and exit of employees, visitors, contractors, and vehicles as per company procedures.
- Ensure proper access control and prevent unauthorized entry into restricted areas.
- Conduct regular security patrols and inspections of the plant premises.
- Monitor CCTV surveillance systems and report any suspicious activities immediately.
Vigilance & Incident Management
- Maintain a high level of vigilance to prevent theft, pilferage, unauthorized movement, and security breaches.
- Investigate minor security incidents and submit detailed reports to the HR.
- Report any unusual activities, safety concerns, or violations of company policies.
- Assist during internal investigations whenever required.
Discipline Management
- Ensure employees, contractors,
and visitors comply with plant security rules and workplace discipline.
- Monitor adherence to company policies, including entry protocols, dress code, and prohibited items.
- Coordinate with HR to address disciplinary issues related to security violations.
- Promote a disciplined and secure work culture across the plant.
Emergency Response
- Respond promptly to emergencies such as fire, medical incidents, security threats, and evacuation situations.
- Assist in conducting emergency drills and mock exercises.
- Coordinate with emergency response teams and external agencies when required.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain gate registers, visitor records, vehicle logs, material movement records, and incident reports.
- Prepare daily security reports, shift handover reports, and MIS for management review.
- Ensure compliance with company security SOPs, GMP requirements, and statutory regulations.
Team Supervision
- Supervise and guide third-party security guards to ensure disciplined and efficient performance.
- Conduct daily briefings and allocate duties for each shift.
- Monitor attendance, grooming, discipline, and performance of security personnel.
- Support training and development of security staff on security protocols and emergency response.
Qualification
- Graduate in any discipline. Additional certification in Industrial Security or Fire & Safety will be an added advantage.
Experience
- Mandatory: Ex-Defence Personnel (Army / Air Force).
- Minimum 8 - 12 years of overall experience, including Defence service.
- Experience in industrial or manufacturing security, preferably in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, chemical, or FMCG industry, will be preferred.
