General Job Description

ICT/FPT/MDA Support and Test Engineers develop procedures and strategies to support, create, maintain and manage technical quality assurance processes and guidelines and systems infrastructure, investigate, analyses and resolve system problems and performance issues, and test the behavior, functionality and integrity of systems. Also, to maintain proper record of all tester’s preventive maintenance work as per ISO requirement. Support production for daily activities on shop-floor to achieve targeted production as per plan.

Role and responsibilities

- Having programming knowledge of the ICT(Agilent & HP 3070), Takaya (FPT) flying probe and MDA (Manufacturing defect Analyzer) machines which used in manufacturing and testing of Electronic boards.
- Analyses, evaluates and diagnoses technical problems and issues such as installation, maintenance, repair, upgrade and configuration and troubleshooting of desktops, software, hardware, printers, internet, email, databases,



operating systems and security systems.
- Tests, identifies, and diagnoses functionality errors and faults in systems, and programming code within established testing protocols, guidelines and quality standards to ensure systems perform to specification.
- Performs organizational systems architecture reviews and assessments and recommends current and future hardware and software strategies and directions.
- Creates and reviews technical documentation such as procedural, instructional and operational guides and manuals, technical reports and specifications and maintenance inventory systems.
- scheduling and conducting quality audit inspections, and analyzing and reviewing systems, data and documentation.
- identifying variations and potential high-risk areas in securing adherence to standards and procedures.
- Assists in troubleshooting, diagnosing, testing and resolving system problems and issues.
- recommending corrective action plans and improvements in the resolution of non-compliance with standards detected through monitoring and auditing of processes and procedures.
- communicating, educating and liaising with users and management to ensure awareness and adherence to standards, procedures and quality control issues and activities.

- To be done within the standards of quality and productivity established by the company and in agreement with procedure control of testing programs.
- To ensure all test equipment are maintained to the best condition for minimum downtime.
- To interface with supplies for ICT fixture Development, machine maintenance and calibration etc.
- To manage a good level of machine spares parts to ensure minimum production impact due to machine downtime. Ensure that there is no tester downtime due to spares.
- To set up and validate the test equipment for new projects or for new businesses.
- To provide cost reduction, cycle time reduction through automation and kaizens.
- To inspect and validation all incoming testers, test fixtures and jigs to ensure good working condition before release to production line.
- Participates in Daily production meetings for productivity improvements and interact with customer to resolve testing related issues.
- Review all test processes and identify the test strategy for new projects for better Test coverage.
- Shall supply comprehensive and accurate documentation for all testers, component programmers and debug process.
- Contribute to the improvement of test yields, test efficiency, tester intermittence, electrical components defect and overall tester development.
- Shall contribute to the training of Test Technicians, Debug Technician, Debug Operator, Test Operators and Component programmers.

Requirements:

- ICT,FPT,MDA test supporting Engineer must have at least 3 to 5 yrs experience in similar role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- SW Knowledge of C, C++, C#, VB, Paragon SW ,Test Expert, Spectrum, ViewMate, valor & View-Markup will be added advantage.
- Sound knowledge of equipment selection and customization.
- Must have exposure in RFQ / quote support to sales team.
- Flexible and able to accommodate to recent working environment.
- A good knowledge of working with Microsoft Office package.
- Global exposure is mandatory.
