Role & responsibilities

The Head Quality will be responsible for leading the Quality Assurance and Quality Control functions of the tubular pharmaceutical glass manufacturing facility.

The incumbent will ensure compliance with applicable Quality Management Systems, customer requirements, cGMP standards and internal management systems. The role will oversee product quality, audits, documentation, validation, customer complaints, CAPA, batch release and continuous improvement initiatives across the plant.

Reports to (designation):

Functional: Managing Director/ Quality Director

Administrative: Managing Director/ Quality Director

Direct Reports: Assistant Manager, Quality Engineer, IPQC Team and Senior Executives
Deputy: Assistant Manager Quality

- Responsible for the implementation, update and improvement to the ISO 9001 Quality Management System, GMS, etc.
- Prepares and represents Company and the plant during all customer, ISO, supplier and related audits.
- Responsible for GMS, Quality Management Systems implementation, self-audits and working with other managers to coordinate initiatives to improve all KPIs through GMS.
- Responsible for signing Certificates of Analysis.
- Responsible for identifying and coordinating all cGMP activities and ensure that the facility complies with established procedures and implements improvement to meet changing customer expectations.
- Demonstrates behavior that meets Valuable Manufacturing Practices, Safety and Good Housekeeping requirements.
- To monitor all Production activities.
- For review testing of Raw Materials like Tubes,



Chemical for treatment, etc. & packing materials like trays, boxes, wrapper, etc. And to inform relative department about its status whether tests result complies or not.
- To review DQ/IQ/OQ/PQ and to monitor calibration/validation activities within the plant. (Process/Machine/Equipment/Instruments etc.).
- To revise or add documents whenever any change in the document is required within the plant /Quality Department with authorization from Relevant Department head, Technical Development Manager and Plant Manager.
- To arrange MRM and review all points discussed in MRM and to implement/monitor/follow up same into relevant area.
- For Quality Checks of incoming RM/PM as per its Specifications and submit the report to relevant department.

To prepare Batch Records and to Release batch in consultation with Production Manager, QC Manager and Plant Manager.

Qualification: : Post Graduate / BE

Professional experience: Atleast 15 + Years of Experience in Pharma Primary Packaging Industry
