About the Role

As a Lead Data Engineer, you'll lead the Data Engineering practice for the Analytics Organization (AO), driving enterprise architecture, AWS cloud migration, platform modernization, operational excellence, and stakeholder engagement. You'll define the technical roadmap while mentoring teams and delivering scalable, reliable data solutions.

Role & responsibilities

- Lead enterprise Data Engineering strategy and architecture.
- Drive AWS cloud migration and platform modernization initiatives.
- Build and optimize scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines.
- Manage IBM DataStage, IBM Workload Scheduler & Oracle GoldenGate environments.
- Optimize DB2 & SQL Server performance and reliability.
- Own platform governance, SLA adherence, RCA, and production support.




- Lead release management, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Mandatory Skills

- AWS Cloud (S3, Glue, Lambda, RDS, Redshift, IAM).
- IBM DataStage.
- IBM Workload Scheduler.
- IBM DB2 & SQL Server.
- Oracle GoldenGate.
- ETL/ELT Architecture & Data Pipeline Development.
- SQL Performance Tuning & Stored Procedures.
- Enterprise Data Engineering & Team Leadership

Preferred Skills

- Apache Airflow, dbt, Spark, Delta Lake.
- CI/CD, DevOps & Agile Methodologies.
- Healthcare Data Engineering (HL7/FHIR, HIPAA, HITRUST).
- Tableau, BusinessObjects, SAS.
- AWS Professional Certifications

Preferred candidate profile

- 8 - 15 years of enterprise Data Engineering experience.
- 3+ years leading technical teams or engineering functions.
- Strong expertise in AWS and enterprise data platforms.
- Experience modernizing legacy data environments to cloud-native architectures.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
