Deputy General Manager Finance & Accounts

We are looking for a highly accomplished and strategic finance leader to join our team as Deputy General Manager – Finance & Accounts. This role is ideal for a seasoned finance qualified who can drive financial strategy, strengthen governance, optimize working capital, and partner with business leaders to support organizational growth.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Leadership & Strategy

- Lead the Finance & Accounts function, ensuring robust financial governance and strategic decision-making.
- Partner with senior leadership to drive financial planning, profitability, and sustainable business growth.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support key business decisions.

Financial Reporting & Compliance

- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
- Ensure timely and accurate Balance Sheet Finalization, Profit & Loss statements, and Cash Flow reporting.
- Ensure compliance with Accounting Standards, statutory regulations, taxation laws, and corporate governance requirements.
- Coordinate with statutory auditors, internal auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A;)

- Lead budgeting, forecasting, long-term financial planning,



and variance analysis.
- Develop business performance dashboards and MIS reports for senior management.
- Drive EBITDA improvement initiatives and profitability analysis across business units.

Cash Flow & Working Capital Management

- Manage organizational cash flow, treasury operations, and liquidity planning.
- Optimize working capital through effective management of receivables, payables, inventory, and banking relationships.
- Monitor fund utilization and ensure efficient capital allocation.

Taxation & Audit

- Ensure compliance with GST, Income Tax, TDS, Transfer Pricing, and other applicable statutory regulations.
- Lead internal, statutory, tax, and compliance audits.
- Implement corrective actions based on audit findings and strengthen financial controls.

Internal Controls & Risk Management

- Design and strengthen internal financial controls and risk mitigation frameworks.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
- Drive process improvements through automation and best financial practices.

Team Leadership

- Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance & Accounts team.
- Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams across domestic and international operations.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education

- Chartered Accountant (CA)



– Preferred
- CMA, MBA (Finance), or equivalent professional qualification will be an added advantage.

Experience

- 10–15 years of progressive experience in Finance & Accounts, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong preference for candidates from the Rice Export, Import & Export, Commodity Trading, Agri-business, FMCG, Manufacturing, or Trading industries.
