Role & responsibilities

1. Sourcing of chemicals as per departmental SOP and requirement of Mills.

2. Adhering to and exceeding key performance metrics such as

- Market knowledge of latest trends and technologies

- Supply Market Analysis of key commodities.

- Conversion of PR to PO as per the timelines.

3. Ensuring Long Term Contracts for materials.

4. Spend analysis identifying areas of cost reduction

- Recent vendor development

- Maintaining vendor relations

- Commercial Negotiation

- Understanding and implications of prevailing taxes on the landed cost of the commodity

5. Understanding and prioritizing the requirements and ability to deal with both internal and external customers

Functional Responsibilities

1. Responsible for planning, execution, control and monitoring of strategic sourcing activities with the objective of creating short & long term net value, building a competitive infrastructure.

2. Ensure zero production loss or project delays due to unavailability of materials.

3. Sending RFQ to prospective vendors against PRs and Plant Requirement Plans

4. Facilitating evaluation of offers received through internal customers

5.



Commercial tabulation and Conducting negotiation

6. Creating Purchase order in SAP system along with necessary justification and approval note as appropriate

7. Strengthen interpersonal relationship and improve internal customer satisfaction through periodic meetings

8. Developing and maintaining healthy and ethical business relationship with vendors

9. Vendor visit for new vendor qualification and expediting of supplies as and when required

10. Close coordination with Purchase Operation team and internal stake holders.

11. Support operation team to develop alternate products and vendors.

12. Preparing MIS on monthly or as per requirement.

13. Support in preparing annual operating plan (Budget).

Preferred candidate profile

Graduate with Bulk Chemical Purchase Experience is Mandatory

1. Proven working experience in sourcing of Chemicals

2. Good exposure to SAP MM module

3. Proficiency in MS Office particularly Excel, Power Point and Word

4. Good command on written and verbal communication

5. A knack for negotiation and networking
