About the Role

They are looking for an experienced and dynamic Design Head to lead our design team and manage design activities across multiple projects. The role involves working closely with senior management, clients, consultants, business development teams, fabricators, and operations teams to ensure timely and accurate project design execution.

The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge, team management skills, and experience in design coordination for construction or infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Design Management

- Lead and manage the design team for both pre-sales and post-sales projects.




- Allocate work, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of design tasks.
- Prepare project-wise design plans and track the complete design lifecycle.
- Guide team members and ensure quality standards are maintained.

Design Coordination

- Coordinate with clients, consultants, business development teams, and internal departments.
- Collect and review required project documents, drawings, layouts, and technical details.
- Ensure all design inputs are received on time for smooth project execution.
- Act as the main point of contact for design-related discussions and clarifications.

Technical Review & Project Support

- Review design submissions, layouts, structural drawings, sections, and load calculations.
- Coordinate with structural consultants for design modifications and improvements.
- Resolve design-related issues and provide technical guidance to stakeholders.
- Ensure all project designs meet safety, quality, and project requirements.

Documentation & Reporting

- Maintain accurate records of project designs, revisions, and approvals.
- Update project data and reports in ERP systems and Excel.
- Track project progress and share updates with senior management.
- Ensure all design documents are properly maintained and readily available.





Product Development & Improvement

- Participate in new product development initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve existing products for better safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Work with management and technical teams to implement design innovations.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- Provide design inputs to the sales team within 2 days.
- Submit client designs within 7 days of receiving required information.
- Submit fabrication drawings to production within 10 days.
- Maintain effective coordination among all stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development of at least two new products or product improvements.

Required Qualifications

- Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred but not mandatory.
- 8–12 years of experience in design coordination and project design management.
- Experience in high-rise residential, commercial construction, infrastructure, or related industries.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD (2D & 3D).
- Good understanding of construction and engineering drawings.
- Ability to interpret layouts, shell plans, structural drawings, load calculations, and technical specifications.
- Knowledge of STAAD Pro, Revit, or BIM will be an added advantage.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Good planning, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
