We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Senior DevOps Engineer with 6 to 8 years of hands-on experience to own, scale, and secure our enterprise infrastructure ecosystem. In this role, you will bridge the gap between development and operations by architecting robust CI/CD systems, scaling containerized infrastructures, and implementing world-class monitoring matrices.
The ideal candidate will have extensive multi-OS proficiency (Windows & Linux), master-level command over modern Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), deep experience orchestrating AWS cloud services (including EKS), and a proven track record of managing enterprise logging and monitoring configurations.
Key Responsibilities
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Design, provision, and maintain production-ready cloud infrastructure using Terraform, managing environment state securely across multiple AWS regions.
- Container Orchestration: Architect, scale, and optimize enterprise Kubernetes clusters using Amazon EKS and manage application rollouts via Helm charts
- CI/CD Pipeline Architecture: Build, maintain, and secure high-throughput automation pipelines across multiple enterprise platforms (Jenkins, Bamboo, and GitLab CI/CD).
- Multi-Repository Management: Govern source control access, workflows, branch security hooks, and mirror synchronization across GitHub, GitLab, and Bitbucket.
- Cloud Architecture & Security: Provision and secure AWS resources adhering to the least-privilege model. Build secure network perimeters using VPCs, Subnets, Security Groups, and network ACLs (NACLs).
- Observability & Telemetry:
Design and maintain unified dashboard ecosystems and proactive alerting configurations across Datadog, Splunk, ELK Stack, Grafana, and Prometheus.
- Migration & Disaster Recovery: Orchestrate low-downtime application and server migrations using cloud-native migration tools like AWS SMS (Server Migration Service) and CloudEndure Disaster Recovery
Required Technical Skills
- Operating Systems: Expert-level administration of both Linux (Ubuntu, RHEL, CentOS) and Windows Server operating systems.
- Cloud Platforms (AWS): Deep production expertise across core Amazon Web Services:
- Compute & Containers: EC2, EKS, Lambda
- Storage & Content Delivery: S3, CloudFront
- Networking & Security: VPC, NACLs, IAM, ACM (Certificate Manager)
- Caching & Databases: ElastiCache (Redis/Memcached)
- Migration & DR: AWS SMS, CloudEndure
- Governance: CloudWatch, CloudTrail
- Containerization & Orchestration: Proficient with Docker image optimization and configuration alongside production Kubernetes cluster operations and Helm deployments
- CI/CD & SCM Systems: Mastery of orchestration engines including Jenkins (Scripted/Declarative Pipelines), Bamboo, and GitLab CI/CD, backed by advanced workflow management in GitHub, GitLab, and Bitbucket.
- Automation & Provisioning: Advanced proficiency with Terraform for state management, modularization, and cloud synchronization
- Monitoring & Log Analytics: Hands-on knowledge of metrics collection and log aggregation engines utilizing Datadog, Splunk, ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), Grafana, and Prometheus
Preferred Qualifications & Soft Skills
- High-Availability Mindset: Proven experience managing zero-downtime deployments (Blue/Green, Canary) for complex enterprise applications.
- Troubleshooting & RCA: Exceptional analytical capabilities to debug production out-of-memory (OOM) errors, networking deadlocks, data caching lags, and pipeline performance bottlenecks.
- Security First: Strong focus on keeping infrastructure patches current, managing SSH/IAM access keys cleanly, and securing containers against known CVE vulnerabilities.
- Collaboration: Transparent technical communication style to coordinate seamlessly between QA, backend developers, and business stakeholders.
Education & Experience Requirements
- Experience: 6 to 8 years of dedicated commercial experience working in an AWS-centric DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) capacity.
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cloud Computing, or an allied engineering stream.
- Certifications (Preferred but not mandatory): AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate.
