Job DescriptionSenior Manager – Cargo Operations NLocation: Mumba NiExperience: 12–18 year NsIndustry: Shipping, Maritime, Cargo Operations and Logistic Nsn Role Overvienw:A leading organization in the shipping and logistics sector is seeking a hands-on Senior Manager – Cargo Operations to lead end-to-end cargo operation Ns.n Key Responsibiliti Nn es:Lead end-to-end cargo operations, including planning, handling, routing, warehousing, terminal or vessel coordination, import, export and transshipment activiti N es.Improve turnaround time, throughput, resource utilisation, service quality and operational accuracy through SOPs, KPI monitoring and process improveme N nt.Ensure compliance with customs, port, maritime, safety and applicable IATA requirements; manage audits, risks and corrective actio N ns.Manage carriers, terminal operators, transporters, freight forwarders, agents, customers and other service providers, including SLA monitoring and contract negotiatio N ns.Control operational costs such as handling, warehousing, transportation, demurrage, detention and terminal charges, while delivering measurable savin N gs.Drive effective use of cargo systems, TOS, ERP and tracking platforms, supported by accurate data and analyti N cs.Lead teams of approximately 10–30+ employees, ensuring clear accountability,



capability development and effective coordination during peak volumes and operational disruptio Nnns.n Candidate Prof Nn ile:Bachelor's degree in Marine Operations, Shipping, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related fi N eld.Minimum 12 years ofprogressive experience in shipping, maritime, cargo or logistics operati N ons.At least 4–5 years of direct experience in cargo operations, vessel operations, terminal operations, CFS, ICD, warehousing or a similar environm N ent.Solid exposure to end-to-end cargo handling, routing, storage, movement and deliv N ery.Experience managingcarriers, vendors, terminal operators, transporters, shipping agents or handling partn N ers.Proven experience in operational cost control, contract negotiation, compliance and process improvem N ent.Demonstrated experience managing teams and coordinating cross-functional and on-ground operati N ons.Familiarity with customs procedures, cargo documentation, safety requirements, ERP, TOS and cargo-tracking syst N ems.Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a data-driven and customer-focused appro Nnach.n Interested candidates can directly share their resume to (phone hidden) with subject line "Application for Senior Manager – Cargo Operations"
