ODX Author Engineer – Automotive Diagnostics

We are looking for an experienced ODX Author Engineer with strong expertise in ODX/PDX diagnostic data authoring, UDS diagnostics, ECU diagnostics implementation, and vehicle communication protocols across automotive programs.

n

Key Responsibilities:

n

n
- Author, maintain, and validate ODX/PDX diagnostic data in compliance with ASAM standards.
n
- Develop and manage diagnostic specifications for ECU functions, DIDs, RIDs, DTCs, and diagnostic sessions.
n
- Integrate ODX data into tools such as CANdela Studio, ODX Studio, DTS Monaco, INCA, and CANoe.
n
- Support ECU diagnostics implementation and validation activities.
n
- Debug and resolve diagnostic-related issues, including:
n
- Routine failures
n
- DTC behavior mismatches
n
- DID read/write inconsistencies
n
- Collaborate with OEMs, suppliers, and diagnostics teams for:
n
- Requirement clarification
n
- Issue resolution
n
- Release alignment
n
- Support diagnostics testing over CAN, DoIP, Ethernet, and UDS protocols.
n
- Participate in diagnostic data reviews and quality checks.
n
- Ensure compliance with OEM diagnostic standards and project requirements.
n

Required Skills:

n

n
- Solid knowledge of ODX (ASAM MCD-2D) standards.
n
- Hands-on experience with:
n
- CANdela Studio / ODX Authoring Tools
n
- DTS Monaco
n
- CANoe / CANalyzer
n
- INCA
n
- Good understanding of:
n




- UDS (ISO 14229)
n
- DoIP (ISO 13400)
n
- CAN & Ethernet Communication Protocols
n
- Experience in:
n
- DIDs, RIDs, DTCs
n
- Diagnostic Session Control
n
- Routine Control (Calibration / Alignment Routines)
n
- ECU Diagnostics Validation
n
- Strong debugging and log analysis skills.
n

Tools & Technologies:

n

CANoe, CANalyzer, DTS Monaco, CANdela Studio, INCA, ODX Studio, UDS, DoIP, CAN, Ethernet

n

Preferred Skills:

n

n
- Familiarity with AUTOSAR Diagnostics (DCM, DEM).
n
- Exposure to SOVD (Service-Oriented Vehicle Diagnostics).
n
- OEM diagnostics development experience.
n
- Experience working on connected vehicle diagnostics and next-generation vehicle architectures.
n

Education:

n

BE / B. Tech / ME / M. Tech – Electronics / Electrical / Instrumentation / Automotive Engineering

n
