Role Overview: We're looking for a versatile, detail-obsessed Product & Brand Designer to own design at Tradomate - across our product experience and our outward-facing brand. This is a generalist role for someone who's equally comfortable designing a clean trading dashboard flow as they are putting together a sharp social post or pitch deck. You'll work closely with product, engineering, and the founders to turn complex ideas into simple, trustworthy, positive-looking design - inside the product and outside it.

Key Responsibilities

1. Product Design (UX/UI)

n

- Design clean, intuitive interfaces in Figma for our web app that make complex trading and workflows feel simple
n
- Own designs end-to-end - from problem framing and wireframes to high-fidelity screens and developer handoff
n
- Think in flows and states, not just screens - map out edge cases, empty states, errors, and loading states
n
- Build and maintain a lightweight design system/component library that keeps the product consistent as it grows
n
- Work closely with Product Engineers to make sure what ships matches the design intent, and adapt when trade-offs are needed

2. Brand & Visual Identity

n

n




- Own and evolve Tradomate's visual identity - logo usage, colour, typography, and tone - across every touchpoint
n
- Design marketing and brand assets: social media creatives, landing pages, presentations, and event collateral
n
- Bring a consistent, recognisable look and feel to everything Tradomate puts out, in-app and outside it
n
- Support campaigns, launches, and events with sharp, on-brand visual design, often under tight timelines
n

3. User Research & Product Sense

n

n
- Talk to users and look at product data to understand pain points and opportunities before designing solutions
n
- Turn user feedback and product ideas into intuitive, well-designed screens and flows
n
- Validate designs with users and stakeholders before and after shipping, and iterate based on real usage
n

4. Collaboration & Communication

n

n
- Work closely with product, engineering, and growth to shape what gets built and how it's communicated
n
- Present and explain design decisions clearly - the why behind the work, not just the what
n
- Give and receive design feedback in a constructive, low-ego way
n

n

5. Craft & Quality

n

n
- Sweat the details - spacing, motion, copy, and polish - that make a product feel trustworthy with real money on the line
n




- Keep design files organised and handoffs clean so engineering can build quickly and accurately
n
- Stay on top of design trends in fintech and consumer apps, and bring fresh ideas back to the team
n

6. Learning & Growth

- Build a strong product and brand sense over time by understanding our users and the trading domain
n
- Grow into deeper ownership of design systems, research, or brand strategy as you and the company scale
n

Given the dynamic nature of a startup environment, responsibilities may extend beyond the aforementioned scope.

Qualifications

n

n
- Experience: 2-4 years designing digital products, with some exposure to brand/visual design as well (strong portfolios with side projects count)
n
- Portfolio: A strong portfolio showing both product/UX thinking and visual/brand craft
n
- Tools: Hands-on expertise in Figma; comfortable with prototyping and basic motion/interaction design
n
- Generalist mindset: Comfortable moving between in-product UI work and outward-facing brand/marketing design
n
- User empathy: You care about how real people experience your designs, not just how they look
n
- Communication: Clear communicator who can present and defend design decisions to a small, fast-moving team
n
- Startup fit: Comfortable with ambiguity and change, and excited to shape a brand and product from an early stage
