Role overview:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant with strong experience in UK Accounting and Financial Reporting. The ideal candidate should possess hands-on experience in General Ledger accounting, reconciliations, month-end close activities, and financial reporting. The role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to ensure accurate financial records and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Manage General Ledger accounting and ensure accurate financial reporting.
n
- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
n
- Perform Balance Sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
n
- Execute Month-end, Quarter-end, and Year-end closing activities.
n
- Handle Intercompany accounting and reconciliations.
n
- Conduct variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance.
n




- Assist in internal and external audits by preparing required schedules and documentation.
n
- Ensure compliance with UK accounting standards and company policies.
n
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve accounting processes and controls.
n

Mandatory Skills

- Robust knowledge of UK Accounting and Financial Reporting.
n
- Hands-on experience in:
n
- General Ledger Accounting
n
- Journal Entries & Accruals
n
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations
n
- Month-end, Quarter-end & Year-end Close
n
- Intercompany Accounting & Reconciliations
n
- Variance Analysis
n
- Experience supporting internal and external audits.
n
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
n
- Proficiency in ERP/Accounting systems and MS Excel.
n

Qualifications

n

n
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or related field.
n
- 5-7 years of relevant experience in UK Accounting and Financial Reporting.
n

n

Note: Candidates with strong exposure to General Ledger, financial close activities, reconciliations, audit support, and UK accounting practices will be preferred.
