Job Title: Safety Head – Civil Engineering Projects

Industry: Civil Engineering / Construction (Buildings, Apartments, Infrastructure)

Experience: 10+ years in Safety Management within Civil / Construction projects

n

Job Summary:

n

Responsible for planning, implementing, and overseeing safety policies and programs to ensure a protected working environment at all civil engineering project sites. The Safety Head will work closely with project managers, engineers, and site supervisors to enforce safety compliance and prevent accidents.

Key Responsibilities:

n

n
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in compliance with statutory regulations and company standards.
n
- Conduct site inspections and audits to identify hazards, risks, and unsafe practices.
n
- Investigate accidents/incidents, prepare reports, and recommend preventive measures.
n
- Organize safety training, toolbox talks, and awareness programs for site staff and workers.
n
- Maintain safety records, permits,



and certifications.
n
- Coordinate with external safety consultants, government inspectors, and auditors.
n
- Monitor PPE usage, fire safety systems, scaffolding, lifting equipment, and other safety-critical operations.
n
- Handled Data center project is an added advantage for this post

Key Skills & Requirements:

n

n
- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Civil / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
n
- Diploma in Industrial Safety (Mandatory).
n
- NEBOSH / IOSH certification preferred.
n
- Minimum 10 years of safety experience in Civil Engineering / Construction projects (high-rise buildings, apartments, or infrastructure).
n
- In-depth knowledge of safety legislation and construction site safety best practices.
n
- Strong leadership, communication, and reporting skills.
n
- Tamil / Hindi / English speaking ability is mandatory.
