Job Description

As a Senior QA Engineer at Esyasoft Technologies, you safeguard the quality and reliability of the apps and platform that our clients and end-users depend on. Working within the QA & Test team and supported by the Automation & Test Lead, you own the depth and breadth of testing across mobile (iOS and Android), web and backend, extending automation, holding the release gate, and championing quality across the engineering team.

The role owns:

• Test coverage and quality across Esyasoft's mobile, web and backend products

• Test automation — building, extending and maintaining the automated suites

• Release-gate discipline and defect triage

• Quality advocacy and test ability across the wider engineering team

Key Responsibilities & Areas of Ownership:

A. Test Strategy & Coverage

• Design and own test plans and coverage across the products — functional, regression, integration, UI and end-to-end

• Take a risk-based approach, focusing test effort where the user and commercial impact is greatest

• Define explicit, repeatable test cases and keep them current as the products evolve

B. Test Automation

• Build, extend and maintain automated test suites (UI, API and integration)

• Develop the automation framework and integrate tests into the CI/CD pipeline so quality checks run continuously

• Reduce manual regression effort by automating the right things at the right level

C. Quality Assurance & Release Gating

• Carry out exploratory and manual testing where it adds value beyond automation

• Own release-gate discipline — explicit, evidence-based go / no-go on quality

• Lead defect triage, raising, tracking and verifying fixes to closure

D. Performance, Reliability & Non-Functional Testing

• Cover non-functional quality — performance, load,



accessibility and reliability — where relevant to the release

• Partner with Dev Ops and engineering on environment stability, test data and monitoring of quality in production

E. Collaboration & Quality Advocacy

• Partner with mobile, web and backend engineers and with Product to build quality in from the start, not bolt it on at the end.

• Advocate good testing and test ability practice across the engineering team, and coach engineers on it

• Communicate quality status and risk clearly to engineering and product stakeholders

F. Continuous Improvement & Practice

• Improve test tooling, processes and documentation so quality scales with the products

• Evaluate and adopt new testing tools and approaches responsibly — proving value before adopting

Requirements

Required Skills & Experience

• A demonstrable senior-level QA / test engineering track record across web and mobile products

• Strong test-automation experience with modern frameworks (e.g. Playwright, Cypress, Selenium; Appium / Espresso / XCUITest for mobile)

• Solid API and integration testing experience (e.g. REST, Postman)

• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines

• Strong defect analysis, root-cause investigation and clear bug reporting

• Comfortable combining structured, risk-based testing with exploratory testing

• Strong communication — able to explain quality risk to engineers and non-technical stakeholders

Desirable Skills & Experience





• Performance / load testing and accessibility testing experience

• Experience testing mapping / geolocation or payment integrations

• Familiarity with mobile device farms and cross-device / cross-browser testing

• Knowledge of EV charging, smart metering, mobility or energy products

• Familiarity with Esyasoft's stack (PHP / MySQL, AWS) for environment and data setup

Use of Technologies

Esyasoft includes the requirement to work as a competent user of:
• Test automation frameworks (e.g. Playwright, Cypress, Selenium; Appium / Espresso / XCUITest)
• API and integration testing tools (e.g. Postman, REST)
• CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Git Hub Actions, Jenkins) and test-management / defect tooling (Jira)
• Mobile (iOS and Android) and web platforms; supporting stack (PHP / MySQL, AWS) for test environments

This role may also require flexibility to work with emerging testing tools and platforms as Esyasoft's products evolve.
