Role Description The Study Abroad Counselor is a full-time, on-site role based in Surat. This position involves guiding students through the entire study abroad process, from initial counseling and profile assessment to course selection, university shortlisting, and application support.
The counselor will provide detailed information on education systems, admission requirements, scholarships, and financial planning, while maintaining regular communication with students and families. Daily responsibilities include coordinating with universities and partners,



managing documentation for applications and visas, organizing information sessions and pre-departure briefings, and maintaining accurate records in the counseling system.

The role also includes contributing to outreach activities, ensuring high service standards, and supporting students with timely, ethical, and accurate advice.

Qualifications

- Solid counseling and advisory skills, with the ability to understand student aspirations and recommend suitable study abroad options.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with students, families, educational institutions, and partners.
- Organizational and documentation skills to handle applications, visa files, deadlines, and follow-ups accurately.
- Basic knowledge of international education systems, admission processes, and visa procedures for major study destinations.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and maintain a student-first, ethical approach in all interactions.
- Comfort with using computers, CRM tools, and online platforms for research, counseling sessions, and data management.
- Prior experience in overseas education counseling, student advisory services, or related fields is an advantage.
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline; a background in education, counseling, or management is preferred.
