Role & responsibilities
The General Manager Finance is a senior leadership role responsible for the full spectrum of
financial management, strategy, and governance for the organisation. The incumbent will serve as a
key business partner to the Director and senior leadership team, driving financial discipline,
operational efficiency, and long-term value creation. This role demands a commercially astute
finance skilled with deep expertise in healthcare or diagnostics and a demonstrated ability to
lead high-performing finance teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and management reports in compliance
with GAAP and applicable regulatory frameworks.
- Design, implement, and enforce robust internal financial and accounting policies and
procedures.
- Ensure full statutory compliance including Income Tax, GST, and other applicable levies.
- Lead coordination with external auditors for the annual audit process; prepare all requisite
supporting schedules and documentation.
- Oversee core accounting functions including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts
receivable, credit control, and petty cash management.
- Conduct monthly variance analysis and present results to leadership with actionable insights.
- Manage cash flow planning, forecasting, and working capital optimisation.
- Oversee asset management including proper capitalisation, amortisation, and disposal of fixed
assets.
- Present financial reports at Board meetings and Annual General Meetings as required.
2. Budgeting & Financial Planning
- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting cycle in consultation with the Director and relevant
functional heads.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic planning, scenario analysis, and
business decision-making.
- Monitor performance against budgets and proactively identify risks, gaps, and corrective
actions.

Investor Interaction, Banking & Taxation
- Serve as a key point of contact for investors, providing timely and accurate financial updates,
reports, and presentations.
- Support fundraising, due diligence, and investor reporting requirements in partnership with the
Director and Management Committee.
- Lead and manage relationships with banks and financial institutions, including credit lines,
working capital facilities, and treasury operations.
- Negotiate banking terms, interest rates, and facility structures to optimise the organisation's
cost of funds.
- Oversee end-to-end direct and indirect tax management, including Income Tax, GST, TDS,
and other applicable levies.
- Partner with external tax consultants to ensure timely filings, assessments, and resolution of
tax matters, while proactively managing tax risk and planning opportunities.
4. Risk Management & Internal Controls
- Identify, assess, and mitigate financial and operational risks across the organisation.
- Develop and maintain a robust internal control framework to safeguard organisational assets
and ensure data integrity.
- Advise leadership on appropriate insurance coverage for the organisation.
- Negotiate credit lines and financial services with banking partners as required.
5. Technology & Process Improvement
- Evaluate and implement financial systems and MIS tools that enhance reporting accuracy,
efficiency, and scalability.
- Champion digitisation and process improvement initiatives within the finance function.
- Ensure that financial data systems meet the organisation's control, reporting, and compliance
requirements.
6. Project & Operations Finance
- Maintain accurate financial records for individual projects and cost centres.
- Provide timely financial reporting on project-level performance in line with contractual and
operational requirements.
- Oversee financial aspects of leases, contracts, vendor agreements, and administrative
commitments.
