- *DGCA & Regulatory Compliance*: Manage end-to-end compliance with India's Drone Rules 2021, UAS Rules, and Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) certification requirements, including Type Certificate (TC), Unique Identification Number (UIN), and Unmanned Aircraft Operator Permit (UAOP) processes.

- *Import/Export & Dual-Use Controls*: Oversee compliance with SCOMET (Special Chemicals, Organisms, Materials, Equipment and Technologies) licensing for dual-use drone technology, DGFT export/import regulations, and end-use certification requirements for ISR-capable systems.

- *Defense & Government Procurement*: Support compliance documentation for GeM (Government e-Marketplace), Ministry of Defence procurement processes, and "Make in India" / Positive Indigenisation List requirements.

- *Standards & Certification*: Ensure adherence to relevant BIS, ISO, and quality standards (building on Westway's existing ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and SA 8000 certifications) as applied to UAS manufacturing.

- *Product Compliance*: Coordinate with R&D; and engineering teams on airworthiness documentation, RF/spectrum compliance (WPC licensing for communication links), and battery/lithium transport compliance (DGCA CAR Section 3).

- *Policy Monitoring*: Track evolving drone policy, tariff structures (HS code classifications),



and PLI (Production Linked Incentive) scheme requirements relevant to the drone/ISR sector.

- *Audit & Documentation*: Maintain compliance records, prepare for regulatory audits/inspections, and manage relationships with DGCA, Quality Council of India (QCI), and other certifying bodies.

- *Cross-Functional Liaison*: Act as the primary point of contact between Westway's manufacturing/engineering teams and external regulators, legal counsel, and industry bodies (e.g., CEAMA, drone industry associations).

## Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Electronics, Mechanical, or related field); advanced degree or regulatory certification is a plus.

- 5+ years of experience in regulatory compliance, preferably in aerospace, defense electronics, or UAS/drone manufacturing.

- Working knowledge of India's Drone Rules 2021, DGCA certification frameworks, and SCOMET/export control regulations.

- Familiarity with GeM procurement processes and defense sector vendor registration (e.g., DPIIT, MoD panels).

- Strong understanding of quality management systems (ISO 9001) and manufacturing compliance in an EMS/ODM workplace.

- Excellent documentation, audit, and stakeholder management
