We are hiring for an Automation Test Engineer role for our client, a technology company.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web and API testing
- Build and enhance test automation frameworks using Selenium/TestNG
- Execute automated and manual regression, functional, and integration testing
- Identify, log, and track defects through resolution using JIRA or similar tools
- Collaborate with developers to understand requirements and define test coverage
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines
- Prepare and maintain test plans, test cases, and test data
- Report on test execution status, coverage, and quality metrics
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver
- Proficiency in Java or Python for test script development
- Experience with TestNG/JUnit and Cucumber (BDD)
- Knowledge of API testing tools like Postman/RestAssured
- Understanding of SDLC and STLC processes
- Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins)
- Familiarity with defect tracking tools (JIRA)
- Strong analytical and debugging skills
Positive to Have
- Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter)
- Exposure to cloud-based test grids (BrowserStack/Sauce Labs)
- Knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes.
