We are hiring for a Database Administrator role for our client, a technology company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain database systems (MySQL/Oracle/SQL Server)
- Monitor database performance and perform tuning as needed
- Implement and test backup and disaster recovery procedures
- Manage database security, user access, and permissions
- Troubleshoot database issues and minimize downtime
- Support application teams with database design and query optimization
Required Skills:
- Strong experience administering relational databases (MySQL/Oracle/SQL Server)
- Understanding of backup, recovery, and high-availability configurations
- Experience with performance monitoring and query tuning
- Knowledge of database security best practices
- Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills
- Familiarity with scripting for automation (Shell/PowerShell)
Good to Have:
- Experience with cloud databases (RDS/Azure SQL)
- Oracle/Microsoft DBA certification
- Exposure to NoSQL databases
