Manager-Purchase

Department: Purchase and Order Management - MB

Employment Type: Full-Time Probation

Key Responsibilities:

1. Communicate with dealers to gather information on product specifications, pricing, and availability.
2. Communicate with vendors on a daily basis to inquire about product availability, negotiate prices, and follow up on orders.
3. Engage with suppliers to procure equipment and materials required for various projects or operations.
4. Continuous evaluation of existing suppliers and explore opportunities to onboard new suppliers to enhance product quality and cost-effectiveness.
5. Release purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
6. Track the procurement process from order placement to delivery, ensuring timely receipt of goods and services.
7. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as the finance, Sales, and Sourcing departments to ensure timely payment processing and resolve any invoicing discrepancies.
8. Monitor market trends and industry developments to identify potential risks and opportunities in the supply chain.
9. Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to facilitate smooth procurement operations.
10. Prepare regular reports and updates on procurement activities, including purchase orders, delivery schedules, and vendor performance metrics.

Follow-up with existing vendors on order status, payments and recent inquiries made.

Qualifications and Skills Required :

1. Bachelor s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Sourcing, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, with at least 4-7 years of experience in a similar role. (Preference will be given to candidate from healthcare field).
3. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with vendors and suppliers.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently with internal and external stakeholders.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with procurement software or ERP systems.
6. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
7. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
8. Knowledge of procurement best practices and industry regulations.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
