About the Role:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and creative Script Editor to refine and elevate scripts for short-form video content. This role is focused on improving storytelling, structure, clarity, pacing, and audience engagement while ensuring every script is concise, factually accurate, and optimized for digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

- Edit and refine scripts for short-form videos to improve clarity, structure, pacing, and audience engagement.
- Strengthen hooks, transitions, and endings to maximize viewer retention while keeping content concise.
- Ensure factual accuracy, logical flow, grammatical correctness, and consistency in tone across all scripts.
- Simplify complex topics into engaging, easy-to-understand narratives without compromising accuracy.
- Collaborate with writers, researchers, and content creators from ideation to final approval.
- Identify gaps in storytelling, remove redundant information, and enhance scripts with stronger context and narrative flow.
- Adapt scripts for different short-form content formats and platforms while maintaining editorial standards.
- Work closely with the production team to ensure scripts translate effectively into compelling video content.




- Review AI-generated script drafts and apply solid editorial judgment to improve quality, readability, and authenticity.
- Ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines, audience expectations, and platform best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- 37 years of experience in Script Editing, Content Writing, Copy Editing, Journalism, or Editorial roles, preferably for digital or short-form video content.
- Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication, English (Hons.), Journalism, or a related field.
- Exceptional command of written English with strong grammar, proofreading, and copy-editing skills.
- Excellent storytelling ability with a strong understanding of narrative structure, pacing, and audience psychology.
- Strong editorial judgment with an eye for factual accuracy, consistency, and detail.
- Ability to simplify technical or complex subjects into clear, engaging, and relatable content.
- Comfortable working with AI-generated drafts while applying strong human editorial oversight.
