As a Mainframe OMEGAMON Support Engineer at Kyndryl, you ll solve complex problems and identify potential future issues across the spectrum of platforms and services. You ll be at the forefront of new technology and modernization, working with some of our biggest clients which means some of the biggest in the world.

There s never a typical day as a System Administrator at Kyndryl, because no two projects are alike. Required Technical and Professional Experience

- 5+ years of experience supporting IBM Mainframe environments With OMEGAMON Suite.




- Strong experience with IBM OMEGAMON Suite administration, monitoring, and support.
- Hands-on experience with IBM OMEGAMON for z/OS, IBM OMEGAMON for CICS on z/OS, IBM OMEGAMON for IMS on z/OS, IBM OMEGAMON for Db2 Performance Expert on z/OS, IBM OMEGAMON for Messaging on z/O, IBM OMEGAMON for Storage on z/OS, IBM Z OMEGAMON for JVM, OMEGAMON Integration Monitor DE
- Experience with IBM z/OS, JES2/JES3, and mainframe operational support.
- Strong expertise in performance monitoring, system diagnostics, and capacity management.
- Experience analyzing and troubleshooting CICS transaction performance issues, Db2 performance and locking issues, IMS region performance, CPU, memory, and I/O bottlenecks
- Hands-on experience in software installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and maintenance of OMEGAMON products and related z/OS tools.
- Knowledge of Job Control Language (JCL) and batch processing support.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in an on-call and rotational support environment.
- Advanced experience with IBM OMEGAMON monitoring solutions.
- Knowledge of CA Endevor code migration and change management processes.
- Experience with performance engineering and capacity forecasting.
- Exposure to automation, monitoring dashboards, and enterprise observability tools.
- Experience working within large-scale enterprise mainframe production environments.
- Knowledge of software lifecycle management, version upgrades, and maintenance planning.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes including Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
