Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure Leadership: Serve as the technical lead for the network operations team, overseeing day-to-day tickets, managing escalations, and guiding junior engineer activities.
Advanced Perimeter Security: Design, deploy, and audit enterprise firewall rulesets; handle advanced security policies, threat prevention, and complex Site-to-Site/Remote Access VPN architectures.
Core Switching & Routing Architecture: Manage and optimize high-density Layer 2/3 switching environments. Implement loop prevention (STP/RSTP), advanced segmentation (VLANs, VRFs), and energetic routing protocols (OSPF, BGP).
Server & Data Center Networking: Oversee server-to-network provisioning. Configure virtual networking fabrics (VMware vDS, Hyper-V Nutanix), Top-of-Rack (ToR) switching, link aggregation (LACP), and high-availability server uplinks.
Infrastructure Services Management: Maintain and troubleshoot core network services enterprise-wide, including DNS, DHCP deployments, Active Directory network paths, and IP Address Management (IPAM).
Tier 3 Outage Resolution: Act as the highest escalation point for complex, high-priority network outages, performing deep packet analysis (Wireshark) to isolate root causes.
Lifecycle & Capacity Planning: Lead network maintenance windows for critical firmware upgrades, patches, and hardware replacements.



Proactively monitor capacity and bandwidth trends.
Mentorship & Documentation: Mentor junior network technicians, establish operational runbooks, and design exhaustive architecture topologies using Microsoft Visio.

Preferred candidate profile

Senior Firewall Administration: Minimum 5 years configuring and troubleshooting enterprise firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto PAN-OS, Fortinet FortiOS, Checkpoint Cisco Firepower).

Enterprise Switching & Routing: Deep structural knowledge of enterprise-tier switches (Cisco Catalyst/Nexus, HP Aruba) and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF).

Data Center & Server Networking: Hands-on experience mapping network ports to server infrastructure, including storage networks (iSCSI, Fibre Channel) and virtualization hypervisors (Nutanix & VMware ESXi cluster networking).

Traffic Analysis: Expertise using network sniffers and monitoring tools (Wireshark, SolarWinds, PRTG, NetFlow) to decode complex traffic behaviour.
Pharma/Regulated Industry Background: Prior experience working in a heavily regulated domain (Pharmaceuticals, Life Sciences, Healthcare, or Banking) where strict change-management protocols are enforced.
Required Experience:
Experience: 5 to 10 years of continuous, verified experience in enterprise network administration, data center engineering, or network security.
