The Configuration ManagerCMDB Architect is responsible for defining implementing and maintaining the ServiceNow Configuration Management Database CMDB and ensuring strategic alignment and ongoing process health to support and promote customer business and IT goals The candidate will drive the configuration management and IT asset management spaces HeShe works independently to architect design develop the Service Asset Configuration Management
RoleResponsibilities
- Design and delivery of the Configuration Management processes the ServiceNow CMDB ServiceNow discovery and IT Asset MgmtSoftware and Hardware
- X years of demonstrated experience in Configuration Management development CI discovery Service Mapping and CMDB integrations with the Service Now CMDB module
- Handson experience in troubleshooting Service Now Discovery CMDB and ITAM database structures data management and process enhancement
- Delivery of a single source of truth for all configuration items eg applications servers databases etc and their relationships
- Design of CMDB for specific use cases as needed eg patching and vulnerability management request automation business continuity management etc
- Management and improvement of discovery processes and procedures ensuring alignment with ServiceNow recommendations for CMDB Service Mapping and discovery configuration
- Proactive identification of data and functionality gaps in ServiceNow CMDB and discovery
- Planning designing and implementing of the Service Model in CMDB to ensure visibility across the infrastructure environment
- Handson experience in troubleshooting Service Now Discovery CMDB and process enhancement
- Strong handson experience in optimizing discovery tailoring patterns and development
- Code and develop customized patterns probes and sensors for Discovery and Service Mapping
- Strong handson experience in troubleshooting ServiceNow Discovery
- Knowledge of relational databases MySQL MSSQL Oracle
- Strong handson experience with REST and SOAP web services
- Solid collaboration with stakeholders including internal customers stakeholders and vendors to understand challenges and gain consensus on improved system and operational solutions
- Proficiency of ServiceNow administration JavaScript and common scripting languages such as PowerShell highly Preferred
- Service Now System Administrator Certification Preferred
- Service Now Implementation Specialist Certification Preferred
