The Role
Are you ready to join the team of software engineering experts at Kyndryl? We are seeking a technically strong Software Engineering Technical Specialist - Workday Integrations to design, deliver, and support integrations across Kyndryl's enterprise HR ecosystem, with Workday as the system of record.
As a Software Engineering Technical Specialist, you will develop and support integration solutions within enterprise HR domains such as Workday HCM, payroll, benefits, identity and access management, and third party HR platforms. You will be a technical leader contributing deep domain expertise, guidance, and technical ownership across the integration lifecycle.
In this role, you will work closely with HR, Payroll, Benefits, Security, and external vendors to translate business and regulatory requirements into secure, reliable Workday integration solutions. You will be a trusted problem solver for complex data, process, and integration issues that span the employee lifecycle.
You will drive the design, development, testing, deployment, and operational support of Workday integrations, leveraging platform native frameworks and enterprise integration patterns. Your focus will be on data accuracy, reliability, security, and compliance across global hire to retire processes, rather than custom product development.
You will partner with fellow engineers, integration architects, and platform owners to deliver high quality integration solutions aligned with release schedules, business cycles (such as payroll and benefits events), and operational readiness standards.
As a senior technical specialist, you will also mentor engineers, help establish integration standards and best practices, and contribute to continuous improvement of the Workday integration landscape. Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Demonstrated experience designing, building, and supporting enterprise integrations, preferably with Workday as a system of record
- Hands on experience with Workday integration technologies (e.g., Studio, Core Connectors, EIBs, APIs)
- Strong understanding of Hire to Retire business processes, including worker lifecycle events, payroll, benefits, and compensation data flows
- Experience integrating SaaS HR platforms with downstream systems such as payroll providers, perks vendors, or identity/access management tools
- Ability to support production operations, including incident resolution and critical business cycles where data accuracy and timeliness are essential
- Robust analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills in an enterprise, cross functional environment
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Experience supporting global or multi country Workday integrations
- Familiarity with HR data privacy, security, and audit considerations (e.g., sensitive employee data, regulatory requirements)
- Prior experience acting as a technical lead or integration owner for enterprise platforms
- And/or Master Certified Technical Specialist
