Profile
As a Mixologist with Mharo Khet, you will be an ambassador for the
unique beverage experiences we create for our guests. Your creativity,
technical expertise, and commitment to exceptional hospitality will
play a key role in crafting memorable moments, whether for resident
guests, intimate meals, celebrations, or curated retreat experiences.
Summary of
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, the Executive Chef and
Property Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include
but are not limited to the following:
Beverage Programme Development: Design, prepare and execute
a seasonal beverage menu including classic cocktails, signature
cocktails, mocktails, wellness beverages and specialty drinks that
align with the ethos and culinary philosophy of Mharo Khet.
Guest Experience: Deliver attentive and personalised beverage




service by engaging with guests, understanding their preferences,
making recommendations, and creating memorable bar
experiences while maintaining the highest standards of hospitality.
Bar Operations: Oversee the daily operations of the bar, ensuring
efficient preparation before service, cleanliness throughout
operations, and proper closing procedures. Maintain consistency in
drink quality, presentation, and service standards.
Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels of spirits, wines,
mixers, glassware and consumables. Coordinate with purchasing
for timely replenishment while ensuring accurate stock records
and minimal wastage.
Menu Innovation: Develop signature cocktails using seasonal
ingredients, house-made infusions, syrups and locally inspired

Mharo Khet flavor Stay updated with global beverage trends while
incorporating regional ingredients where appropriate.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with the culinary, restaurant
and events teams to develop food and beverage pairings, bespoke
beverage menus and seamless guest experiences during private
events, weddings and retreats.
Training & Development: Train and mentor Barbacks and Food &
Beverage Associates on beverage preparation, responsible alcohol
service, product knowledge and guest interaction.




Quality & Hygiene: Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene
and responsible alcohol service regulations. Maintain cleanliness of
the bar, equipment and storage areas in accordance with
operational standards.
Cost Control: Monitor beverage costs through portion control,
inventory management and waste reduction while maintaining
premium quality standards.
Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure safe handling of beverages,
glassware and equipment, and maintain a safe working
environment in accordance with company policies.
Qualifications
Degree or certification in Hospitality Management, Hotel
Management, Bartending or Mixology preferred
3-5 years of experience as a Mixologist or Bartender in a luxury
hotel, fine dining restaurant or premium hospitality environment
Strong knowledge of spirits, wines, classic cocktails and
contemporary beverage trends. A sommelier training will be an
added advantage
Basic knowledge of tisanes, teas and coffee; along with operation
of automatic grinders and semi automatic coffee machine
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience in luxury events or destination weddings will be an
added advantage
