Position Overview

ROCKMIX INFRA EQUIPMENT PVT. LTD. is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Design Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in 2D drafting and 3D modeling using AutoCAD and Solid Edge, with a practical understanding of heavy industrial equipment fabrication and sheet metal assembly.

Key Responsibilities

- 3D Modeling & 2D Drafting: Develop precise 3D CAD models, assemblies, and detailed 2D production drawings using Solid Edge and AutoCAD.
- BOM & Documentation: Prepare accurate Bills of Materials (BOM), part lists, and engineering documentation to streamline procurement and manufacturing.
- Design for Manufacturability (DFM): Ensure designs strictly comply with shop-floor fabrication capabilities, structural load requirements, and welding standards.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate directly with shop-floor supervisors, fabricators, and project managers to clarify drawing details and implement engineering change orders (ECOs).
- Process Optimization: Identify design improvements to minimize material scrap, reduce fabrication turnaround times, and enhance product durability.





Candidate Qualifications & Skill Requirements

- Education: B.E. / B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: 2 to 5 years of relevant industrial design experience, preferably in heavy equipment, machinery, or structural fabrication.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Solid Edge (3D assembly, sheet metal design) and AutoCAD (2D drafting).
- Technical Expertise:
- Comprehensive understanding of sheet metal operations, structural steel profiles, GD&T;, and welding symbols.
- Capability to perform design calculations and read complex engineering schematics.
- Robust problem-solving aptitude and sharp attention to dimensional accuracy.

Compensation & Benefits

- Monthly CTC: ₹25,000 – ₹40,000 / month (Commensurate with experience and technical competency)
