Job Title : SR Linux Engineer

Experience : 5 to 8 Years

Roles & Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and deploy Linux OS platforms for enterprise-wide infrastructure environments.

- Support Linux platform modernization and automation initiatives across cloud and virtualized environments.

- Manage Linux build provisioning, patching, configuration management, and system maintenance activities.

- Develop and maintain automation workflows using Ansible, Python, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines.

- Build and maintain Linux VM images and support virtualization platforms.

- Support migration and lifecycle management of Linux workloads across virtualized infrastructure.

- Collaborate with global engineering, cloud, and infrastructure teams on platform enhancements and standards.

- Troubleshoot Linux systems, infrastructure components, networking, and automation-related issues.

- Support Red Hat Satellite, cluster services, automation platforms, and related infrastructure tools.

- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices for scalable and repeatable infrastructure deployments.

- Prepare technical documentation, deployment procedures, and operational handover documents.

- Monitor platform performance, improve operational efficiency,



and support continuous improvement initiatives.

- Participate in project activities including requirement gathering, design, testing, validation, deployment, and production rollout.

Requisites
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.

- Robust experience in Linux Administration and enterprise Linux environments.

- Knowledge of Linux operating systems, system tuning, networking, and performance monitoring.

- Experience with Ansible, automation tools, and Infrastructure as Code practices.

- Hands-on experience in Python scripting and automation development.

- Familiarity with virtualization technologies and cloud infrastructure platforms.

- Understanding of Kubernetes, containerization, and virtualization concepts.

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jenkins, and DevOps practices.

- Knowledge of Red Hat Satellite, cluster services, and enterprise Linux ecosystems.

- Understanding of networking fundamentals, DNS, LDAP, and core infrastructure services.

- Experience in troubleshooting enterprise infrastructure and production environments.

- Ability to work collaboratively with global teams in a fast-paced environment.
