- Roles & Responsibilities :
- Job Purpose :
- To ensure timely and quality machining of components as per the production plan, while adhering to safety, process compliance, and documentation standards in the machine shop.
- Job Duties / Responsibilities :
- Extract relevant machining drawings from Windchill for job execution.
- Prepare pre-machining drawings for fabricated components as required.
- Prepare and maintain a list of final components for tracking and planning.
- Plan daily production and machine-wise job loading based on production priorities.
- Issue components from bought-out stores for machining, ensuring traceability.
- Execute complete machining of components in alignment with production plans.
- Carry out inspection of final components to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Maintain and update daily machine-wise activity reports.
- Complete all IMMS transactions related to job completion and material movement.
- Plan monthly tool requirements and raise indent for tool procurement.
- Perform periodic calibration of measuring instruments such as Vernier callipers, Micrometres, Dial Gauges, Bore Gauges, Height Gauges, etc.
- Design and develop jigs, fixtures, or templates to increase machining productivity.
- Ensure proper use of safety gear, discipline, and adherence to PPE norms on the shop floor.
- Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping in the machine shop as per 5S and TPM standards.
