Job Description – Staff Nurse (Eye Hospital)

Job Summary:

The Staff Nurse is responsible for providing quality nursing care to patients in the OPD, IPD, OT, and emergency areas of the eye hospital. The role includes assisting ophthalmologists during examinations and surgeries, maintaining patient records, ensuring infection control, and delivering compassionate patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide nursing care to ophthalmic patients in OPD, IPD, and OT.
- Assist doctors during eye examinations, procedures, and surgeries.
- Prepare patients for surgeries and diagnostic procedures.
- Administer medications, eye drops, injections, and dressings as prescribed.
- Maintain cleanliness, sterilization, and infection control protocols.




- Counsel patients regarding post-operative care and medication usage.

Required Qualifications:

- GNM / B.Sc Nursing from a recognized institute.
- Valid Nursing Registration Certificate.
- Experience in ophthalmology or eye hospital preferred.

Experience:

- Fresher or experienced candidates can apply.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in an eye hospital preferred.
